Dr. Kim is a board certified orthopaedic surgeon who has special interest in sports medicine, arthroscopic procedures for knees and shoulders, and joint replacement.

Dr. Kim has undergraduate and graduate degrees in Electrical Engineering and Computer Science from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) and worked in the industry prior to entering the field of medicine.  Dr. Kim received his medical degree from the Temple University School of Medicine and completed his Orthopaedic Residency at the Temple University Hospital and Sports Medicine fellowship at Georgetown University.  During his year of fellowship, he worked with the Redskins and George Mason University athletes.

Currently, Dr. Kim is the team physician for Battlefield High School.

In January 2010 Dr. Kim was featured in Washingtonian Magazine (see the article) as one of the top sports medicine physicians in the Washington D.C. area.
