About Dr. Peltier

Dr Peltier joined Northern Virginia Orthopaedic Specialists in 2006. He graduated with honors from the Georgetown University School of Medicine where he won the award for top Medical student in Orthopaedics. Dr Peltier continued his training at the University of Pittsburgh where he completed his orthopaedic surgery residency and during which time he helped cover football games and cared for a number of high school athletes. He then finished his training with a fellowship in Sports Medicine and Shoulder and Elbow surgery at the University of Southern California. There he acted as an assistant team physician for college level athletics including the football and soccer teams. He is board certified in orthopaeidcs and a Fellow in the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons.
Dr. Peltier specializes in arthroscopic surgery of shoulder, knee and elbow. His interests include rotator cuff surgery, shoulder stabilization as well as cartilage repair and ligament reconstruction of the knee. He also performs shoulder reconstruction and replacements for arthritis, fractures and rotator cuff tears. Non-operative and preventive care is extremely important in his practice for all patients. He also cares for general orthopaedic conditions and most types of fractures.

Dr. Peltier was listed as one of Washington DC's top doctors in Sports Medicine by Washingtonian Magazine in 2018. He has presented at national meetings including the American Orthopaedic Society for Sports Medicine. He has provided continuing medical education and public education seminars in Prince William county. Currently he is acting as the team physician for Patriot High School.
